police-light-bar1.jpgA motorcyclist who crashed this morning on the westbound Interstate Highway 80 ramp that connects to southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco has died, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after the accident was reported at 12:33 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital this morning, CHP officials reported after 2 a.m.

The accident closed several lanes near the freeway connector ramp until 1:55 a.m.

A CHP officer said the motorcycle had to be taken off the road after the incident.

It appears no other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the CHP.
