A holiday tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled at a popular park in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood this evening.
Recreation and Parks Department director of operations Dennis Kern will be at Huntington Park, at Taylor and California streets, to light up the park’s trees at 5:45 p.m.
The San Francisco Girls Chorus will perform at the event.
San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee is scheduled to attend a separate tree-lighting ceremony in the city’s Castro District tonight. That event takes place at 6 p.m. at Castro and 18th streets.
