sfo03.jpgAfter an unseasonable snowstorm on the East Coast, San Francisco International Airport is dealing with continued interruptions of flights to and from the northeast, airport officials said today.

Nancy Parker, an SFO duty manager, said that at least three flights from SFO, and two flights to SFO have been cancelled as of 6 a.m. today.

She said that travelers should check the status of their flights before departing for the airport today, as the airport is prepared for further delays or cancellations.

Two of the cancelled departures were headed to John F. Kennedy International Airport, the other was headed to Newark Liberty International Airport. The two cancelled flights headed to SFO were from Logan International Airport in Boston, and from Newark.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s weather in New York will be sunny and breezy, giving East Coasters a reprieve from the unseasonable winter weather. But the airport is still experiencing lingering problems after yesterday’s disruptions.
