police-light-bar1.jpgA woman was stabbed in the chest after getting into an argument with another woman in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The stabbing was reported at 1:44 a.m. near the intersection of Eddy and Hyde streets.

The 29-year-old victim was arguing with a woman in her 30s, who took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the left side of her chest, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The suspect ran away and had not been found as of this morning. Anyone with information about the stabbing is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
