sfpd_squad.jpgSan Francisco police are investigating a suspicious fire early this morning in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood, where a mattress was lit on fire and the flames spread to a nearby car.

The incident was reported at about 2:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Hyde Street, police said.
No one was injured by the fire, which was quickly extinguished.

The suspect who lit the blaze, a man in his 40s, has not been found. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
