The power is back on at BART’s West Oakland station this evening, although riders are still experiencing major residual system-wide delays, transit officials said.
The power outage was reported at 4:36 p.m. and 2,928 customers have been impacted in West Oakland, PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
The outage appears to have been caused by a car crashing into a pole, Morris said.
No estimated time was available for when service would be fully restored.
