sfpd_squad.jpgA man was sliced in the face by a man he accidentally bumped into in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood early this morning, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 2:35 a.m. near the intersection of Ellis and Jones streets.

The 28-year-old victim apparently bumped into the man on accident, which prompted the suspect to pull out a knife and slash him in the face, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injury, which is not considered life-threatening.

The suspect ran away following the stabbing and has not been found. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
