An 18-year-old man fatally shot in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood last week has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as Ricky Tims.
At about 10 p.m. Thursday, Tims was standing in the 200 block of Rey Street when two suspects approached him on foot and opened fire, police said.
Tims was taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries at 1:55 a.m. Friday, according to police.
The suspects, believed to be two teenage boys, ran away following the shooting and have not been found as of today, police said.
The Police Department’s gang task force is investigating the case. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call the department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
