wave.jpgA water main ruptured in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood this morning, a dispatcher said.

The 8-inch water supply pipe broke at about 7:10 a.m. near Filbert and Broderick streets, according to the San Francisco Water Department.

Crews are responding to the neighborhood, where a fire department dispatcher said a large amount of water was spilling on to surface streets.

As of 8:15 a.m., several dozen homes in the immediate area were without water service, the dispatcher said.
