policeblotter_sfa.jpgIf you see a bunch of cops running through San Francisco this morning, they won’t be in hot pursuit of bad guys (this time) — SFPD Chief Greg Suhr will be leading a relay run of San Francisco’s finest this morning, in support of the Special Olympics.

SFPD officers will be running with the “Flame of Hope” torch as it makes its way to the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games, which kicks off June 24 in Davis.

They’ll begin at Union Square at 9:30 AM, then follow a 12 mile loop through downtown SF, the Embarcadero, and Fisherman’s Wharf, before ending back at Union Square. Suhr is expected to begin the race, then pass the torch off to several other cops throughout the course.
