A man was seriously injured when he lost control of his bicycle and crashed near the Balboa Park BART station in San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, police said.
The accident was reported at about 4:55 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of San Jose and Ocean avenues.
The 39-year-old victim struck his head on the ground, according to police.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, police said.
