beatles_1458824c.jpgCall me crazy, but I personally hate karaoke. Nothing makes me more nervous than being forced to belt out the lyrics to Diana Ross in front of a room of onlookers. Drunk or not, I just can’t muster the courage.

But I know I’m in the minority, having been dragged to karaoke bar after karaoke bar by every one of my friends. I’ve grown to love watching my drunken, off-key buddies serenade me with a tipping pint of PBR in one hand and a microphone in the other.
But one more drunken rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin” and I might just have a meltdown.

Luckily, Joshua Raoul Brody of Tango Number 9 is hosting a karaoke night devoted entirely to The Beatles. Now this is something I can stand behind.

Head to the Cafe Royale this Monday to sing your favorite Beatles tunes in a piano bar setting. And what’s even better, the music you’ll be singing to is live! None of those pre-recorded, subtitled karaoke videos. Brody will provide you with a book of lyrics and the back up music.

What: Beatles Karaoke Night
When: Monday, June 6, 8pm
Where: Cafe Royale 800 Post St.
