sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA man was arrested after allegedly stealing a woman’s car when she left it idling in San Francisco’s Marina District on Sunday night, police said.

The 30-year-old woman left the car unattended at about 10:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Chestnut Street, and when she returned, the suspect was inside and trying to drive away, according to police.

The victim tried to stop the suspect, a 30-year-old man, but he pushed her away and drove off, police said.

However, officers found and arrested him a short time later.

Police have not yet released his name.

The woman was uninjured, police said.
