sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA driver struck a motorcyclist on San Francisco’s Lombard Street this morning and continued driving for a couple of blocks with the motorcyclist still on the hood of the car, a police spokesman said.

A man was riding his motorcycle east on Lombard Street around 6:55 a.m. when he was rear-ended between Franklin and Gough streets, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The motorcyclist landed on the hood of the car and remained there as the driver kept traveling east on Lombard Street, Esparza said.

The car was pulled over at Lombard Street and Van Ness Avenue by off-duty federal agents, and the man driving the car was arrested, according to Esparza.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, he said.
