sanbrunofire.pipe.jpgPG&E officials plan to join Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, for a Town Hall meeting Wednesday in San Bruno to discuss long-term recovery efforts in the neighborhood where a gas pipeline exploded eight months ago.

Kirk Johnson, PG&E’s vice president of gas engineering and operations, is scheduled to attend the Town Hall meeting with Speier, who will give residents an update on the utility’s actions since the Sept. 9 explosion in the Glenview neighborhood, which killed eight people and destroyed dozens of homes.

California Public Utilities Commission Executive Director Paul Clanon is also planning to attend the meeting, along with San Bruno Mayor Jim Ruane and City Council members.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the San Bruno Senior Center at 1555 Crystal Springs Road.
