Chuck Berry collapsed in Chicago after giving a performance that one concert attendee said was “erratic and out of tune.” The cause was exhaustion, according to the rock and roll pioneer’s manager, but he also said Chuck is doing all right now. At 84 years old, it’s crazy to think he’s still out there doing his thing.

A new song has leaked from Katy Perry‘s vault. “Part of me” was recorded for her Teenage Dream album, but didn’t make the cut. A reissue of the album is rumored, and so is the possibility of the track appearing on that release. A pop record so nice, it really doesn’t need to be released twice, listen to it above.

I’m a sucker for a great rap/rock mashup, and this is just beautiful. An artist by the name of Wick-it threw together this mix of the Brothers album by The Black Keys and Big Boi’s Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. The result is The Brothers of Chico Dusty, and it features 8 tracks the loop the grinding guitar hooks of the Ohio band with the smooth, tongue twisting flows of Big Boi. Here are the tracks, available for your downloading pleasure.

Talib Kweli is planning one of the first big releases of 2011. On January 25th he’ll drop his first solo album in four years, Gutter Rainbows. We get our first taste of the album with this track “Cold Rain,” a piano driven banger with a beat that chops just as hard as Talib’s flows. Get it here.

Heard it Through the Grapevine:

Eminem is carrying a lot of momentum in to this new year. Following two collaborations with Dr. Dre, the king of Detroit gives us this ballad called “Difficult.” A bootleg of one of his tour shows featuring Dre, Drake, D12, and 50 Cent also leaked, ousting 22 songs of raw, live power.

There’s nothing car commercials love more than a catchy little hook or melody. That’s probably why Audi chose to have Basement Jaxx remix their drudgy house single “Dracula” for a new ad that’s a pretty snazzy for a sixty second brain washing. Check it out, looks like a Scion rip off to me.

This is very exciting. Queens of the Stage Age have announced that they’ll be hitting the studio next month to start hashing out new ideas and working on their sixth album. In other QOTSA news, the band will be re-releasing their self-titled album on the 11th with some rare songs.

Waka Flocka Flame‘s name isn’t the only thing that’s going to be hurting in the near future. The LA rapper turned himself in on Monday after authorities raided his house and sent out a warrant for his arrest last month, and he’s got quite a list of charges: possession of marijuana, Hydrocodone, and weapons while having a felony, as well as obstructing a Georgia gang and “terror” ordinance.
