earthquake.jpgThe U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 struck this morning in Sonoma County.

The quake struck just one kilometer northeast of The Geysers, according to the USGS. This area is known for seismic activity.

The epicenter was about 25 miles north-northwest of Santa Rosa and 74 miles in the same direction away from San Francisco City Hall, the report said.
