11/5 9:08 AM: The medical examiner’s office today identified a man shot and
killed in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Thursday night as 25-year-old Deon Jackson.
According to police, Jackson was shot dead in the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue at about 8:40 p.m.
Jackson’s city of residence hasn’t been determined, the medical examiner’s office said.
There was no information from police on a possible suspect or motive in the killing.

The killing is San Francisco’s 41st homicide this year, and the fourth this week.
10/4 9:27 PM: A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in San Francisco’s Bayview District Thursday night, a police spokesman said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was killed at about 8:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue, Officer Albie Esparza said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting happened outside, but police had few additional details about the case, Esparza said.
He said a suspect description was not available, and it’s unclear how the shooting unfolded or what the motive might have been.
