sfpd_squad.jpgPolice and firefighters are on the scene of a shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District that injured one person early this morning, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire department received a call at 12:28 a.m. reporting a shooting in the 1000 block of Hampshire Street near the intersection of 22nd Street, the dispatcher said, which is one block from San Francisco General Hospital.

One victim sustained minor injuries in the exchange, the dispatcher said.

A police spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

This is the second shooting in San Francisco in the past eight hours. A young woman was fatally shot in Japantown at about 8:55 p.m. Thursday.
