fairmont_ginger09-225x300.jpgA two-story house made out of 5,500 pieces of gingerbread, 850 pounds of icing, 425 pounds of candy and 8 gallons of chocolate opens its doors Saturday in the lobby of The Fairmont San Francisco.

The hotel is hosting a complimentary Gingerbread Open House for the community.

There will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments, cookies and music. The event is in the hotel’s lobby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Fairmont is located at 950 Mason St.
