Crews are working to restore power to 177 customers following an outage this afternoon that impacted thousands in San Francisco’s Western Addition and Laurel Heights neighborhoods, a PG&E spokesman said.
PG&E responded to a 2:07 p.m. report that an independent painting contractor’s ladder came in contact with a power line, PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said.
The incident initially knocked out power to about 6,235 customers, Molica said, but crews restored power to 6,058 customers at 2:47 p.m.
Crews are working to restore power to the remaining 177 customers at or before 6 p.m., Molica said.
No injuries were reported, but a power line came down near Ashbury and Grove streets, Molica said.
