It was announced this morning that father and son Presidential team George H.W. Bush (#41) and George W. Bush (#43) will throw out the ceremonial first pitches before game four of the World Series Sunday night.

It is like someone said “hmm, how can we make San Franciscans want their Giants to win more? OH YEAH HERE’S AN IDEA.”

The younger Bush, as you might recall, was partial owner of the Giants-opposing Texas Rangers from 1989-1998.

Who’s throwing out Saturday’s ceremonial first pitch? A somewhat less, er, divisive character: Nolan Ryan, who actually used to throw baseballs for a living. He’s now the Rangers’ president and is a partial owner of the team.

First pitch on Saturday’s game three is at 3:57 PM PT, Sunday’s at 5:20 PM PT. Both are being broadcast on Fox, which for us here in SF, is KTVU (channel 2 broadcast and cable).
