loveparade.jpgAfter organizers for LovEvolution were told they could no longer hold their street party in SF’s Civic Center, Candlestick Park was being discussed as the new home of the annual event.

However, even that alternative is not to be: according to the Chron, when LovEvolution promoters met with city officials last week to discuss moving the party to the ‘Stick, they showed up with “with little more than a drawing of the parking lot with a fence around it” in the way of plans for the party of 100K+ — hardly enough to get the green light.

“(P)ut off by having to get Recreation and Park permits,” organizers say they’re now considering delaying the event, moving it to Oakland (which I believe has a permitting process, too?) or canceling it completely.

Update: The Ex reports that the party’s been canceled. They say they’re now looking forward to their 2011 event, which they’d like to hold at Golden Gate Park’s Polo Fields. “If they do not obtain approval for this location,” says the Ex, “they may hold the event in another city, like Oakland, such as downtown or the Oakland Coliseum.”
