Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival
The Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
Beach Street between Larkin and Polk streets will be closed from 12 a.m., Saturday to 11:59 p.m., Sunday.
The 19 Polk Muni route will be affected.
On Saturday the Sunset Autumn Moon Festival be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and require the following street closures from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m.
* Irving Street from 22nd Avenue to 25th Avenue
* 23rd Avenue from Lincoln Way to Judah Street
* 24th Avenue from Lincoln Way to Judah Street
The 71 Haight-Noriega Muni bus route will be affected.
Traffic Signal Upgrades
On Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day the SFMTA will replace existing traffic signal communication devices with new state-of-the-art equipment in an effort to enhance the productivity, efficiency and safety of the San Francisco transportation system.
SFMTA crews will perform the traffic signal upgrades simultaneously on four different intersections along each of the following corridors:
* Fell Street from Franklin to Stanyan
* Oak Street from Stanyan to Franklin
* Octavia Boulevard from Market Street to Fell Street
* Kezar Drive from Stanyan Street to Lincoln Way
* Lincoln Way from 5th Avenue to 19th Avenue
Crews will work at each intersection for approximately 30 minutes each. During the work, the traffic signals must be turned off. Parking Control Officers will be present to direct traffic. Those traveling in the area should follow directions from the PCOs or treat the unregulated stop as a four-way stop.
The upgrades include replacing traffic signal controllers, removing old copper interconnect traffic signal communications system and connecting a new fiber optic traffic signal communications system.
Power to the Peaceful Festival
On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Power to the Peaceful Festival will be held in Speedway Meadows, Golden Gate Park.
Those traveling in the area may experience heavy traffic.
On Sunday Opera in the Park will be held in Sharon Meadows, Golden Gate Park from 1:30 to approximately 4:30 p.m.
The following Muni routes and line may experience heavier ridership than usual:
* N Judah
* 6 Parnassus
* 33 Stanyan
* 44 O’Shaughnessy
* 71 Haight-Noriega
