ponytail.jpgAccording to a release sent by SFPD to the media, on Sunday, September 26th, Mission District police officers arrested four suspects reportedly responsible for an armed robbery series that happened overnight on September 23rd and 24th.

The arrest occurred when the officers spotted a van matching the victim’s description. An investigation of the van linked the occupants to one of the robberies. Stolen property taken in one or more of the robberies was recovered. One of the suspects had a handgun at the time of the arrest. The Criminal Investigation Unit found that the suspects were linked to other robberies committed in San Francisco and Oakland, by men dubbed the “Pony Tail” robbers because of hairstyles they were all sporting the night of the robberies.

Three brothers from Hayward, Eduardo, Jose, and Edgar Rodriguez were booked for the San Francisco robberies. The fourth suspect, Deandre Ware was identified and implicated in the Oakland robberies. All suspects were booked on multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy.
