A motorcyclist killed in a crash early Saturday in San Francisco’s Bayview District was identified today by police as 37-year-old Taufiq Sayyed-Terry.
Sayyed-Terry, a San Francisco resident, was struck while riding near the intersection of Oakdale Avenue and Toland Street at about 1:25 a.m., according to police.
Police said Sayyed-Terry was traveling west on Oakdale Avenue when he crossed into oncoming traffic to pass a slower-moving vehicle in front of him and was hit by a vehicle going in the opposite direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Sayyed-Terry was hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.
