muni_generic.jpgOfficials are investigating a small fire that started in the back of a bus operated by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency today, a Muni spokesman said.

Muni managers took an inbound 43-Masonic bus out of service shortly before 4:30 p.m. after a small fire started in the back of the bus at Park Presidio Ave (As commenter DT suspected, there was an error regarding the location of the fire, which Bay City News has since corrected — EB) and Geary boulevards, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

No one was injured in the incident, Rose said.
