tank.jpgThis photo, sent by local artist John Kuzich (he of the glorious Fast Pass art show at the DeYoung) from the opening reception for group art show What?, killed my dog loving heart.

John says “When the gallery’s golden retriever “Tank” saw my art…he ran in the back and got his ball. He is caught here staring at an actual used doggie ball on the panel.”

The show, What?, runs until August 27 at Andrew Schwartz Gallery (525 2nd Street). Oh, and did I mention that it was curated by Danielle Steele? Yup, that Danielle Steele.

While she didn’t appear to be dropping any balls at the reception, John says she attended in “all black leather,” which to my dog, would make for quite an attractive target, if you know what I mean.
