Arson investigators were called to the site of a suspicious vehicle fire in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early this morning, a fire department dispatcher said.
The vehicle fire was reported in the 1100 block of Rhode Island Street at around 1:30 a.m., a dispatcher said.
Arriving firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which was determined to be suspicious.
No injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
Update 8:50 AM: According to SFPD, “Dispatch receive(d) a call from someone stating that a person in a white SUV just set fire to a car. Upon officers’ arrival at the location, officers found a Dodge on fire. S.F.F.D. extinguishes the fire. Officers attempt to call back the original reporting party, but are unable to reach them. No arrest.”
