The crash happened at about 8 a.m. on 19th Avenue near Pacheco Street.

San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said a four-door sedan crashed into a pole, injuring the woman behind the wheel.

The woman was alert and walking around after the crash but was transported to San Francisco General Hospital to be evaluated, he said.

As of about 9:30 a.m. the northbound lanes of 19th Avenue were cleared but one southbound lane remained blocked by the damaged pole, Esparza said.
