The Chron’s City Insider brings us this citizen-shot video of what appears to be a DPT officer (in less correct parlance, a meter maid) parking their Cushman in a yellow zone to do some shopping at the Tenderloin Goodwill.

The MTA’s Director of Transit, John Haley, who the Chron says “also oversees parking enforcement,” (Muni and parking! That’s a big job!) confirmed that it is “against agency policy for employees to park illegally.”

If I had a dollar for every time MTA policy was violated, I would not be sitting here typing these words in my bathrobe! (I would be typing them in Prada, because I can’t quit you guys. Truth!)

Meanwhile, ABC7 reports that on Saturday, SFPD says they witnessed a guy slashing the tires of two parking enforcement vehicles downtown.

“One of the parking enforcement officers caught the tire slasher in the act and followed him to a nearby Burger King,” (nothing hits the spot after a bit of tire slashing like an order of Cheesy Tots) “where he was apprehended,” they say. But here is my favorite part of the report:

Police do not know what may have prompted the tire slashings.

Readers, you may not know what prompted the slashings, but I’ll bet you can guess?
