shooting_nighttime.jpg10:34 AM:A 19-year-old Albany man was shot to death late Monday in San Francisco’s Oceanview neighborhood, authorities said.

He was identified today by the medical examiner’s office as Cameron Enis.

The shooting happened at Plymouth Avenue and Broad Street at about 11:40 p.m.

Arriving officers found Enis on the sidewalk, police spokesman Officer Boaz Mariles said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Lt. Mike Stasko said Enis had “a lot of ties to the neighborhood” and was believed to have been standing with a small group outside a youth center at the time of the shooting.

“We think that there were several other people there, but right now we haven’t been able to nail that down yet,” Stasko said.

Stasko said witnesses have not yet come forward. A car, possibly a Mercedes, was seen leaving the scene of the shooting, he said.

The killing is believed to have been gang-related, police said.

Enis’ death marks the city’s 13th homicide of the year.

Police recently ruled the assault-related death of 83-year-old Huan Chen last month a homicide, Mariles said.

Chen, a San Francisco resident, was attacked by five boys near a bus stop at Third Street and Oakdale Avenue in the city’s Bayview District on Jan. 24. He died from his injuries on March 19.
