According to the SFPD, the Far East National Bank at 500 Montgomery was robbed yesterday afternoon, when a man (described by SFPD as a white male) “entered the bank and demanded money” from a teller. The teller complied and the robber fled south down Montgomery.

Every time I read these accounts, I wonder, is it really that easy to rob a bank? It always seems so simple — you ask for money, they give it to you, you run away, and suddenly your online newspaper is finally paying its contributors what they’re worth.
