An underpass linking a Golden Gate Bridge visitor parking lot and southbound U.S. Highway 101 will be closed this weekend, according to bridge officials.
The Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza Tunnel/Underpass Roadway from the southeast side visitor area parking lot to Merchant Road and southbound Highway 101 will be closed to traffic until Sunday at 5:30 a.m.
A southwest access road to the underpass will also be closed during the same period, according to the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District.
The visitor lot will remain open, but accessible only via northbound Highway 101.
Pedestrians and bicyclists will be allowed to use the underpass sidewalk during the road closure.
