Update: Akit has more rules on how to use yout TL on Caltrans. Read or face disaster!

So, yeah, TransLink on Caltrain soft launched today, and we’re wondering if any of y’all used your little green card on the train this morning, and how it went. Tell us in the comments, we want to know.

Akit notes that the Caltrain/TransLink site is up and, more importantly, that they are giving adopters “free money to play with,” as “Rollout participants will receive a free TransLink card with $12.50 in cash value (e-cash) already loaded onto the card.”

A call to TransLink customer service told us that this $12.50 is e-cash usable on any transit agency where TransLink is accepted. Just sayin’.

Sign up for your card and, presumably, your $12.50 in e-cash here.
