Congresswoman Jackie Speier and Supervisor Carmen Chu are hosting a forum entitled “Crisis to Recovery” at Feinstein Elementary School, 2550 25th Avenue on Saturday, July 25, 2009, starting at 9:30 am. Officer James Johnson stopped a driver for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 2300 block of 22nd Street, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1997 Ford was towed. Case #090693223

07/08/09 3:00 pm Capitol and Minerva
Officers Duane Elzey, Juan Gala and Jose Guardado stopped a vehicle for a seat belt violation and also because they knew the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The officers checked a passenger, who lives on Sadowa, and found him wanted on a $100,000 warrant for residential burglary. The driver was cited for various vehicular violations and his 1991 Jeep was towed. Case #090694641

07/08/09 3:20 pm 2200 block of Noriega
A 58 year old son struck his 77 year old mother knocking her to the ground. Witnesses observed the attack and called the police with Officers Nanci Stockwell and Christina Pena responding to the scene. The officers located the suspect and arrested the local resident for assault and elder abuse. Case #090695263

Officers Buddy Siguido and Fernando Leiva went to Macy’s where a resident of the 7400 block of Geary had been caught by security shoplifting. The suspect was cited for theft. Case #090695360
