Oh my god if you don’t have patience with delays or hassles, just do not leave the house this weekend.

Asian Heritage Festival

Saturday The Asian Heritage Street Festival‘s going on in front of the Asian Art Museum from 11-6. That means the Civic Center portions of Larkin, McAllister, Fulton, Eddy, Turk, And Golden Gate are all closed from 3 AM to 9 PM, and that the 5, 19, 31, and (oh noes) the Culture Bus.

Saturday: The irritatingly named Uncorked! SF Wine Festival‘s going on from 11-6 in the Ghiradelli Square area. That means Beach from Larkin to Polk will be closed, and the 19, still reeling from the blow dealt it by the Asian Heritage Street Festival, will be struck again.

Sunday: It’s Bay To Breakers. You know this. It starts at 8 and goes on until about 2. In Muni’s words

“Significant service disruptions to Muni lines are anticipated because the race route closures include Howard Street, 9th Street, Hayes Street, Fell Street and John F. Kennedy Drive for approximately 4 hours. This effectively cuts the City in half. “

They are not kidding around, are they? So be aware if you’re heading out by either bus or car on Sunday that it might take you a while to get where you’re going, and plan accordingly.
