sfpd_squad.jpgWhile the rest of the Bay Area was recovering from that magnitude 4.0 earthquake, just 40 minutes after the quake another thunderous crash hit one Bayview home.

As the Chron reports, two SFPD officers were patrolling Silver Ave. near Ledyard St. at around 6:10 this morning when another car cut them off.

The officer driving swerved out of the way to avoid a collision, and instead crashed into the Silver Avenue home of Margarita Gomez.

“They both told me that they were trying to avoid a car that was turning,” Gomez told the Chron.

“They were going fast and they couldn’t stop.”

The Ex reports that one officer sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash, but the other officer and all inhabitants of the home were unscathed.
