traffic.transit.jpgPresident’s Day Muni Schedule and Parking Enforcement
On the President’s Day holiday this Monday, Muni will operate on a Saturday schedule.

Parking meters and seven day street sweeping will be enforced citywide on the holiday. Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday daytime street sweeping will not be enforced.

In 2012 meters on Port of San Francisco property, including The Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf, will be enforced seven days per week throughout the year, except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Hazards are always subject to ticketing and towing.

Westbound Bay Bridge Closure

Beginning 8 p.m., Friday through midnight, Monday, westbound Bay Bridge will be closed for construction.

Traffic on Van Ness Avenue is expected to be heavy. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time. The 47 Van Ness and 49 Van Ness-Mission Muni routes may experience traffic-related delays.

There will be no street closures and no Muni service re-routes, including the 108 Treasure Island bus route.

PG&E Construction
From 10 p.m., Saturday to 4:30 a.m., Sunday, PG&E will conduct construction work at Montgomery Street Station. The construction will take place on Market Street at the intersection of 2nd Street.

Traffic will be reduced on Market Street at 2nd Street to one lane in each direction. Traffic will not be able to turn left from 2nd Street to Market Street.

During the construction, the following Muni line and routes will be affected:

?? F Market and Wharves
?? 5 Fulton
?? 6 Parnassus
?? 12 Folsom-Pacific
?? 21 Hayes
?? 31 Balboa

Warren Hellman Celebration Concert

On Sunday the Warren Hellman Celebration Concert will take place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Ocean Beach.

The following street closures will be required from 12 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

Great Highway between Fulton Street and Lincoln Way
John F Kennedy Drive between Great Highway and Bernice Rogers Way (formerly known as South Fork Drive)

Due to increased ridership for this event, concert patrons should allow extra travel time on Muni lines and routes serving Golden Gate Park. Muni will provide supplemental bus service on the 5 Fulton before and after the event.

Pre-concert
In addition to the regular 5 Fulton bus stops, concert patrons can also board on the following locations:

Market and Sansome streets
Market and Powell streets

Post-concert
After the concert, dedicated Muni bus service from Golden Gate Park will be available on the 5 Fulton at the following location:

Fulton Street between Great Highway and 47th Avenue.

The 18 46 Avenue Muni route will be affected.

Chinatown New Year Run
On Sunday the Chinatown New Year Run will begin at 8 a.m. and be followed by a festival in Portsmouth Square.

The race route will begin on Grant Avenue and Sacramento Street, travel along Grant Avenue, west on Pacific Avenue, north on Stockton Street, east on North Point Street and south-east onto The Embarcadero. The race route will continue along The Embarcadero, west on Washington Street, south on Battery Street, west on Pine Street and north on Kearny Street to Clay Street.

The following street closures will be required from 7 to 9:30 a.m.:

?? Grant Avenue between Pine Street and Pacific Avenue
?? Pacific Avenue between Grant Avenue and Stockton Street
?? Stockton Street (northbound traffic lane only) between Pacific Avenue and North Point Street
?? North Point Street (eastbound traffic lane only) between Stockton Street and southbound Embarcadero
?? Southbound Embarcadero (bike lane and one traffic lane only) between North Point and Washington streets
?? Washington Street (one westbound traffic lane only) between southbound Embarcadero and Battery Street
?? Battery Street (most westerly traffic lane only) between Washington and Pine streets
?? Pine Street (most northerly traffic lane only) between Battery Street and Grant Avenue
?? Kearny Street (most easterly parking lane and traffic lane only) between Pine and Clay streets

The following street closures will be required from 6:30 to 11 a.m.:

Walter U. Lum Place between Washington and Clay streets

The following Muni line and route will be affected:

?? California Cable Car
?? 1 California
?? 8 Shuttle
?? 8X Bayshore Express
?? 10 Townsend
?? 12 Folsom-Pacific
?? 30 Stockton
?? 39 Coit
?? 45 Union-Stockton

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.
