policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man was stabbed during an argument over the price of crack cocaine in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Friday night, police said today.

The stabbing was reported at 10:59 p.m. in the 600 block of Polk Street, which is between Turk and Eddy Streets.

A 30-year-old man apparently tried to buy three crack rocks for $20, but got into an argument over the price with the drug dealer, who then stabbed the man with a knife in the right palm, according to police.

The suspect fled and has not been found. The victim refused transport to a hospital for his injuries and would not cooperate with investigators, police said.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
