A street in San Francisco’s Mission District is being shut down this morning because of a gas leak, fire officials said.

pg&e_meter.jpg11:06 AM: A street in San Francisco’s Mission District was briefly shut down this morning after a construction crew struck a PG&E gas line, utility and fire officials said.

The leak was reported at 9:38 a.m. on Natoma Street between 14th and 15th streets, according to fire officials.

The street was shut down while PG&E crews responded and repaired the line. Final repairs were made by 10:30 a.m. and the street was reopened, PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said.

Eight customers were affected by the leak and were in the process of having their gas service restored as of 10:45 a.m., Molica said.

10:24 AM: A street in San Francisco’s Mission District is being shut down this morning because of a gas leak, fire officials said.

The leak was reported at 9:38 a.m. and has prompted the closure of Natoma Street between 14th and 15th streets, fire officials said.

The gas line was apparently hit by construction crews in the area.

No injuries have been reported from the leak, fire officials said.

PG&E officials were not immediately available with more information about the leak.
