A street in San Francisco’s Mission District is being shut down this morning because of a gas leak, fire officials said.
11:06 AM: A street in San Francisco’s Mission District was briefly shut down this morning after a construction crew struck a PG&E gas line, utility and fire officials said.
The leak was reported at 9:38 a.m. on Natoma Street between 14th and 15th streets, according to fire officials.
The street was shut down while PG&E crews responded and repaired the line. Final repairs were made by 10:30 a.m. and the street was reopened, PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said.
Eight customers were affected by the leak and were in the process of having their gas service restored as of 10:45 a.m., Molica said.

The gas line was apparently hit by construction crews in the area.
No injuries have been reported from the leak, fire officials said.
PG&E officials were not immediately available with more information about the leak.
