Three people were robbed of their cellphones on San Francisco Municipal Railway vehicles in separate incidents on Monday, police said.
The first robbery was reported at about 6:50 p.m. outside AT&T Park near Third and King streets.
The 27-year-old victim was on a T-Third light-rail vehicle when someone demanded his smartphone, according to police. The suspect then punched the man in the face several times, grabbed the phone and ran off the train.
Then, at about 9:35 p.m., another robbery was reported on a Muni bus in the 1500 block of Baker Street.
The victim in that case, a 41-year-old woman, was sitting in the bus playing a game on her smartphone when two teenage boys sitting behind her stood up, grabbed the phone and ran off the bus, according to police.
The third robbery occurred at about 11 p.m. on the 23-Monterey line near the Glen Park BART station.
A 26-year-old man was on the bus when two suspects armed with knives took his cellphone by force, then ran off the bus, police said.
The suspects in all three robberies, which are not believed to be related, are still at large, according to police.
None of the victims was injured.
However, in a fourth incident on Monday, a man on a 19-Polk bus in the Tenderloin was stabbed by a woman who had borrowed his cellphone and refused to give it back. The man got his phone back, but suffered life-threatening injuries in the stabbing, police said.
