police-light-bar1.jpg6:08 PM: Ten people were injured in a car crash involving seven vehicles at Sixth and Harrison streets in San Francisco this afternoon at the start of the holiday weekend evening rush hour, police said.

The accident occurred at 3:56 p.m., and several ambulances were called to the scene, according to fire officials.

All 10 people, who sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, were either treated at the scene by paramedics or transported to hospitals, police said.

An investigation of the crash is ongoing.
