Cable Car Construction
As of June 1 and continuing through Sunday, Muni bus shuttles are operating in lieu of cable cars for the entire length of the Powell-Hyde, Powell-Mason and California Cable Car Lines.

The Union Street Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday on Union Street between Gough and Steiner streets.

The following street closures will be required from 12 a.m., Saturday to midnight, Sunday:

· Union Street from Gough Street to Steiner Street
· Octavia Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Laguna Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Buchanan Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Webster Street from Green Street to Filbert Street
· Intersections: Union Street and Octavia, Laguna, Buchanan and Webster streets

Fillmore Street will remain open for through traffic, though it may be congested due to crowds. There will be local access for residents on the impacted streets except for Union Street.

The following Muni routes will be affected:

· 22 Fillmore
· 30 Stockton
· 45 Union/Stockton

Athletic Association Event
On Saturday and Sunday the San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association event will take place at San Francisco Gaelic Fields on Treasure Island and require the closure of Avenue “H” between 11th and 13th streets from 6 a.m., Saturday until 8 p.m., Sunday.

The 108 Treasure Island Muni route will be affected.

Statuto Race
The Statuto Race will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday in North Beach.

The following street closures will be required.

7 a.m. to noon: Stockton Street between Union and Filbert streets

8 to 11 a.m.: Northbound Stockton Street between Lombard and North Point streets
Eastbound North Point Street between Stockton Street and The Embarcadero

The 39 Coit Muni bus route will be affected.

Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon
The annual “Escape from Alcatraz” Triathlon will begin at 7:30 a.m., Sunday with a swim from Alcatraz to the St. Francis Yacht Club.

The bike riders will leave Marina Green at approximately 8 a.m. and participants will finish the bike course by 10:30 a.m.

The runners will leave the Marina Green at approximately 8:50 a.m. and participants will arrive at the Marina Green finish line by 1:15 p.m.

The westbound lanes of Marina Boulevard between Scott and Lyon streets will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. One eastbound lane will become westbound during the closure, providing one lane of traffic in each direction along Marina Boulevard.

The route of the bicycle portion of the triathlon will be as follows: from Marina Green through Crissy Field and the Presidio to Legion of Honor Drive, right on Clement to the Great Highway, through Golden Gate Park via Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive to Transverse, and return via John F. Kennedy Drive on the same route to Marina Green.

The entire bike route will be heavily monitored by SFPD, SFMTA Parking Control Officers and race officials. Traffic will be slow in the affected areas and motorists will be delayed as the race passes.

The route of the running portion of the triathlon will be as follows: from Marina Green into The Presidio to Fort Point, south on the Coast Trail to Baker Beach and back to the Marina. You can see a full map of the race route here.

The following Muni routes will be affected by the triathlon:

· 18 46th Avenue
· 29 Sunset
· 38 Geary (outbound only)

Cliff’s Variety 75th Anniversary
The Cliff’s Variety 75th anniversary event will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Castro Theater parking lot on Castro Street.

There will be heavy traffic in the area. Event participants and motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.
