booze.jpgFriday night is good for dancing queens and paychecks, as far as popular music goes. When it comes to a bumping night out on the town, however, SFPD wants you to stay safe by not drinking and driving.

This Friday, April 22 starting at 8:30 PM, a sobriety checkpoint will be set up at 19th Ave. and Winston Dr. right by the Stonestown Galleria. The checkpoint runs til early morning the next day, or as they say in popular music, till we see the sunlight.

Having trouble wrapping your head around not driving drunk? Founder of Avoid the 8, SFPD Capt. Al Casciato spells it out for you:

“Be sober every time you get behind the wheel. Then you can avoid going to jail, avoid seeing your car towed away, avoid spending thousands of dollars in fines and avoid living with the crushing guilt of having killed or injured somebody.”
