Kevin Concannon, Department of Agriculture undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer services, will drop by E.R. Taylor Elementary School from 1 to 2 p.m.

The “Let’s Move!” campaign sets up schools, families and communities with easy ways to help children eat healthy and stay active.

“They have a lot of physical activity built into their program,” San Francisco Unified School District spokeswoman Heidi Anderson said.

During his visit, Concannon will observe students coaching their peers in an outdoor activity, tour the school’s garden and participate in a cooking lesson, which includes a baked sweet potato dish with a yogurt dipping sauce, Anderson said.

The USDA funds a nutrition education project at E.R. Taylor. The school is located at 423 Burrows St.
