1/2 10:54 PM: San Francisco police are on the lookout for a suspect responsible for shooting a man on the street earlier tonight, according to a San Francisco police official.

At about 9:12 p.m., dispatchers received multiple calls about a shooting at the corner of Larkin and O’Farrell streets, Officer Albie Esparza said.

Police arrived on scene and found one man who had been shot in the torso, Esparza said.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Esparza said.

1/3 9:30 AM (Eve Batey): SF Weekly is reporting that the victim has died.

10:30 AM (Ari Burack, BCN): According to police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield, a man was shot
outside the New Century Theater, a strip club located at 816 Larkin St., at about 9:10 p.m.

The victim was identified today by the medical examiner’s office as 41-year-old Charles Harrison, of San Francisco.

According to Dangerfield, Harrison had argued with another man in front of the club.

During the argument, the suspect walked away from Harrison, Harrison followed him and was shot twice in the torso, Dangerfield said.

The suspect, described only as a black man between 20 and 27 years of age, then fled. Harrison died a short time later at the hospital.
