If you didn’t vote in this poll yesterday, please take the time to do it today: Some commenters have expressed concerns about our inclusion of race in our blotter items, saying that that information “reduces the average value of each piece of information in each incident,” that including information on suspects’ and victims’ race makes the Appeal “look like racists,” and that “pointing out race exacerbates profiling and racism both.”

So please feel free to continue the discussion in our comments, but please also take a second to vote if you haven’t already. Thanks, guys.
