I can't get a reservation for high tea at the Palace Hotel, this holiday season. Is there anywhere else you'd recommend that I go?

Yes! Go to the Fairmont Hotel for their high tea. It's WAY better than the Palace's tea in any case. The food is fresher, the service is better and the scones are definitely far superior.
