SFPD Quickly Arrest Suspect After Downtown Bank Robbery

Police arrested a suspect who allegedly fled a downtown San Francisco bank robbery this morning.

The man walked into the Citibank at 245 Market St. at about 10:30 a.m. and told a bank teller he was armed and demanded money, police said.

She handed over the cash and the suspect ran from the bank. Officers arrived and received a description of the suspect from police dispatchers. They found a man who fit the description nearby in front of the Federal Reserve Bank, according to police.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of robbery and identified him as 25-year-old Mark Wright. Officers discovered he had several outstanding warrants and arrested him on those as well, police said.
